Assia Riccio
Assia is one of our most hard-working and brilliant students, who created 95% of her website on her own and in no time. With the support of our LadyCoaching entrepreneurial empowerment program, Assia launched her website in 2019 and has ever since been working on several other digital & innovative solutions to boost her social enterprise even further. She is a force to be reckoned with. Her wish of launching her website within a short amount of time was paired with an immense curiosity to learn, so her journey started with little to no previous experience in WordPress, HTML or CSS code and ended with her adapting her theme’s CSS code for graphical adaptions. Convinced of our training program, we taught her to conceptualize her website requirements and encouraged her to step into the role of the client & the supplier at the same time. After filling out an initial client questionnaire, she impressed us with speedy & qualitative content, ready to be conceptualized into a fully functioning CMS.
Acquired skill-set
Assia acquired profound knowledge to cover all technical requirements for a successful WordPress installation and gained an overall understanding of the digital world wide web with topics such as static HTML vs. dynamic CMS websites, domain & hosting, database & FTP account creation, mail/web server settings, and troubleshooting error messages. From there, her skills skyrocketed.
Future benefits
Assia was already working on a 3.0 version of her website and has taken full control over all changes and updates. She has saved her social enterprise design & development costs and has already added many new features to her current website, all by her herself. Assia has the power and ability to create plenty more WordPress websites, upgrade her current website with more functionalities and has gained invaluable technical experience, which equips her to analyse technical requirements for different types of digital solutions. Whether it’s a tool like Moodle, a future CRM, or an Email Marketing solution, we trust that she will manage it autonomously.
Selling web & graphic design services to clients is a great source of inspiration but teaching clients the science of these services and empowering them to take on these challenges themselves, is an even greater inspiration and creates bonds that go beyond a project’s life cycle.
